The Bacchus is a white grape variety which was bred in the 1930ies. It requires warm but not too warm locations supplying enough water.
The name “Bacchus” refers to the ancient Roman god of wine.
Bacchus vines are rarely cultivated. The yellow-green berries of Bacchus ripen early. They have a fruity taste with a touch of muscat flavour.
