Berneroy Calvados VSOP is a calvado, which is specific type of apple brandy produced in the Lower Normandy region of France.There are more than 200 known varieties of apple used by calvado producers. Apple juice can be distilled once or twice into hard cider. Once distilled, the spirit goes into oak casks where it will pick up color, tannin, and notes of vanilla, caramel, toffee, and spice.
