Chateau Rocs De Marchand Montagne Saint Emilion 2011
Montagne Saint Émilion is a vineyard in the heart region of Bordeaux. Montagne-Saint-Émilion only produces red wine, and nearly all of the grape varieties from Bordeaux can be and are used, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Côt, etc., although it is Merlot that is used most often.
Nothing special with the label. Brown and gold combination is not really eye catching. Also, the picture in the label is not standing out.
I have not tasted this wine. However the interesting information from the label at the back is this wine is suitable for Chinese Food especially roasted bebek. I think I am going to taste it soon since I like to eat roasted duck.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance - A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc on this sanguine red
Aroma – It evokes red berries and black currants across a spicy cedar nose.
Palate - Crushed forest fruit notes on the palate merge effortlessly with softened tannins.
Finish – This wine has a smooth and subtle finish with a hint of fruity notes.
Food Pairing – This is a wine ideal for lamb, rare beef and blue cheeses.
