Kirin whiskies don't often make it out of Japan, so we're delighted to have found a few bottles. Released in 2016, Fuji-Sanroku is a sweeter style of whisky with notes of chocolate, vanilla and caramel.
Kirin Fuji Sanroku Japanese Whisky is a 50% ABV Non chill filtered whisky produced at the Fuji Gotemba Distillery. Water quality is always a key component of whisky making. The water used at Fuji Gotemba distillery is taken from three underground bores that tap into underground streams which are 100 metres deep. Analysis has shown that the water used today fell on Mt. Fuji as snow 50 years ago. That's how long it takes for the water to filter through the hardened lava.
